SCHEME AND OBJECTIVES

Establishment of Dedicated Medical Support Fund

In pursuit of our Sangham’s primary objective towards welfare activities across Education, Medical, Cultural and Sports domains, we, the EC 2024 members, have resolved to establish dedicated funds for each of these areas. The creation of an exclusive Medical Support Fund will enable our Sangham to extend partial assistance to needy members to meet Education related requirements.

MOBILISATION OF FUNDS

To strengthen the Sangham's Medical Support initiatives, a humble appeal will be made to all members and well-wishers on an ongoing basis and Donations to the Medical Fund will be accepted.
As per the resolution passed in the EC Meeting held on 20.10.2024, it was decided to open separate bank accounts for each welfare fund. Accordingly, individual accounts have been established at State Bank of India, Puppalaguda Branch. The Account details of Medical Fund are:

MAINTENANCE OF FUND

In response to the appeal made during the Karthika Atmiya Sammelanam held on 24.11.2024, members have generously contributed a total of ₹80,284/- towards the Medical Fund. The mobilized amount has been deposited in the dedicated Current Account opened for this purpose, ensuring transparency and purposeful utilization of the fund.

UTILISATION OF FUND

Medical Support Initiative – GVSS Medical Fund (2025-26)
In continuation of our commitment to empower the GVSS community through medical welfare, the following guidelines have been established for extending support from the Medical Fund. It will be ensured that the donations received from the members and well-wishers for the noble cause will be utilized judiciously ensuring transparency and purposeful utilization of funds.

  • Application Process:
    • Applications will be invited from family members of the GVSS community from anywhere in India.
    • All applications will be scrutinized by the GVSS Committee, and the recommendations of the committee in selection of the beneficiaries shall be considered final.
  • Scope of Support:
    • Essential Medication and Elderly Support: Financial assistance will be extended for the purchase of essential medicines and/or basic equipment for members suffering from prolonged illness requiring regular medication, subject to submission of latest prescription.
    • Hospitalization & Surgery: Partial/suitable support will be provided for inpatient treatment and surgical expenses incurred by members.

Sanction of Medical Support – Financial Year 2025–26

As part of the GVSS Medical Support initiative, it has been decided to extend assistance to eligible members for the year 2025–26 as follows:
  1. A one-time support of Rs. 5000/- each will be provided to 2 members underEssential Medication and Elderly Support category.
  2. A one-time support ofRs. 10,000/- will be extended to 1 member underHospitalization & Surgery category.

The sanctioned support amounts will be reviewed annually, and necessary revisions will be undertaken based on the total corpus accumulated in the Medical Fund. The support extended under the Medical Fund varies depending on the nature and severity of individual health condition. As the fund is a collective pool comprising contributions of varying amounts from multiple members, it is not feasible to attribute the direct utility of a specific donation to an individual contributor. Nevertheless, to ensure transparency and accountability, the details of donations received and support provided to beneficiaries will be periodically updated on the Sangham website, and shared with all members through designated communication groups.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION

  1. The member must submit a written application requesting support, either personally or through a family member/guardian.
  2. GVSS family members (i.e., the surname of the member applying for the support shall be Golkonda Vyapari Surname) from anywhere India are eligible to apply for the support. Depending on the number of applications received, preference will be given for members belonging to Economically Weaker Section category and members not having insurance and other reimbursement facility. Proof of EWS to be submitted by the member, wherever applicable.
  3. For medicine-related assistance, applicants shall submit the doctor’s latest prescription along with the bill for medicines purchased during the previous month, as proof of recurring medical need.
  4. For inpatient treatment or surgical support, applicants shall submit both the doctor’s prescription and the estimated cost of treatment issued by the hospital authorities as part of the claim documentation.
  5. The amount of support depends on the availability of welfare fund for medical purpose and will be decided by the GVSS Committee case by case.
  6. The above criteria and guidelines are subject to periodical review and revision by the GVSS Committee.
